The war in Sudan:
It was started shortly after their independance from Britian.(1983) Many lives were lost from people killing one another. Sudan was quickly becoming a war zone. The guys were often killed and their women raped. Many children were rounded up into huts, that would be set on fire. Although many people have made it to refugee camps, many have been injured or murdered on the way to the refugee camps. Many people still go to bed hungry and need our help throughout the world. Their are two different religions in Africa. Muslims and African Christians. Muslims live in the North and African Christians in the South.

Today in class we watched how the men from Kenya were doing in America. So far some of them don't like how they are treated. For example, they were told not to go places in groups because it scared people. You can not also ask or talk to a random stranger. They also don't understand how to cook or eat proper meals. It is difficult for them to adapt to our style of life. Missing their friends has also been a huge problem. Many of the men feel bad that they are in America and miss their freiends at home.Although they are learning about jobs and their schedule I can imagine how difficult this must be for them.
