Over 6.8 Billion people in the world. The population is increasing by 80 million per year.
90 % of the population growth takes place in the developing countries such as Africa, South & East Aisa, and Latin America.

Women are expected to live longer than men because men tend to do dangerous & harder work.
RNI ( Rate of natural increase)
- Produced by subtracting the death rate from the birth rate then dividing it by 10
-this gives us the annual natural growth rate

Net migration Rate- the difference between the # of years persons entering & leaving a country during a year
Entering the country = immigration
exiting the country = emmigration
